The London Bridge nursery rhyme is based on the famed London Bridge in London, England. The bridge has weathered many fires and other disasters over it's long history. Originally the bridge was built of wood and clay until the Vikings destroyed it in the 1000's. It has been rebuilt in many of the below described materials and now has stood strong since it's most recent rebuilding in the 1960's.
