We've worn my son very minimally--in a Baby Bjorn. Most of the time I carry him, and my back is paying for it! I just ordered an Ergo a couple of days ago, and am looking forward to trying it. I hope he likes it as he is used to being carried, but not "worn," and is 10 months old now.

I love my mei tai, my wrap, and my sling!

When I was pregnant, all I ever heard about or saw advertised were products like the snugli and the baby bjorn...I wish I had known about the other options when my daughter was itty bitty. She was about 6 months when I realized there were several great options out there and we've been loving it ever since.

I've made several slings, thanks for the additional links!

Great post! I enjoy wearing my babies very much, too. It's good to get the word out about all the different options out there. So many moms try one type and then give up too soon!

Hi Miche - That's a hard choice. But if cost is a factor, then I would go with the wrap. The moby is expensive compared to how cheap you can make a wrap. You could order some jersey fabric and make a no sew version (I think I gave a link to that). You can definately wear a toddler and a baby in a wrap, and I've seen some creative (and strong) women wear both at the same time!

Hi! I am new to the babywearing world-which of the back carriers you mentioned above would be best for carrying a 5 month old and a 2 year old? I'm not a good sewing, so I really would not trust myself to make one, and everywhere I have looked the mei tais, moby wraps and ergos just seem so very expensive-which would you suggest as the best in versatility for the two different ages? Thanks!!
